Car stolen from home 3100 Block of Oxford

A Hyundai Sports sedan was stolen from a home on the 3100 block of Oxford the night of August 13th. As the keys were not left in the car, it may have been hot wired. The police were notified.

If anyone has any unusual video footage from an outdoor camera of that evening that may lend a hand in identifying the thief or thieves please let the Durham Police Department know.

For those who have not, some neighbors have installed outdoor video cameras that have proven effective in deterring or solving crimes of this nature.

Stay cool and safe this month.

  1. Someone went through my car that night as well, It was not locked. When I came out to my car on the morning of the 14th, I noticed the drivers door was not completely shut (as if someone had been trying to close it quietly), the glove box was open and a few items were on the floor, and the center console had been emptied.
After years of driving convertibles, I don’t leave anything of value in my car.
