HAPPY SPRING NEIGHBORS!

In commemoration of National Earth Day the 22 April, we are holding our 3rd annual Spring Clean-up:

WHY:
We value our neighborhood environment and want to keep it as safe, clean and attractive as possible for our human families as well as wildlife.

WHEN:
We are starting  on Saturday, the 23rd  of April at 9:30 AM and running the entire week through Saturday, the 30th of April.

For those interested in partaking, on Saturday, the 23 April, Jeff and Joe are hosting a kickoff coffee and donut early bird snack in their driveway from 9:30-10:00 AM at 2807 Bexley Avenue

WHO IS INVITED:
Adults and supervised children all welcome

HOW THIS WORKS:
Join your neighbors along your street and walk your area, picking up trash.  We plan to respect our neighbors’ yards and keep to the street and the area of city property along the street. For particular problem areas, you are welcome to join others in a larger team to work together.  For particular concerns or problems you encounter, please bring those to the attention of your neighborhood watch co-coordinators or block captain.

WHAT EQUIPMENT IS NEEDED:
o   Bring Blue bags for glass and plastic recyclables.

o   Bring Dark brown or green jumbo trash bags for paper/other trash.

o   A few bags will be initially provided if you need them at the home of Jeff and Joe, 2807 Bexley Avenue on a first come first serve basis

HOW LONG SHOULD THIS TAKE:
There is no time limit and our event runs the week of 23-30 April; you may take as little or long as you like; set your own hours.  Whatever works.

WHAT TO WEAR/HOW TO DRESS:
Sunscreen; Comfortable, loose-fitting work clothing; a hat or visor; Garden gloves recommended
