Annual Spring Clean-up-Earth Day Week-April 23-30 2016

Every year we designate the week following Earth Day to keeping our neighborhood and Durham beautiful by cleaning up trash along our streets.

This year the event is slated for the week following Earth Day, April 22 2016. We will kick off with a coffee and pastry meetup at the home of Jeff and Joe Saturday morning, April 23. More details to follow by March.

Annual National Night Out Neighborhood Celebration-August 2, 2016

National Night Out (NNO) is an annual community-building campaign that promotes police-community partnerships and neighborhood camaraderie to make our neighborhoods safer, better places to live.

The NNO program culminates annually on the first Tuesday of August. Neighbors celebrate across thousands of communities from all fifty states, United States territories, Canadian cities, and military bases worldwide.  https://natw.org/

University Estates has been an active participant in NNO over the past 9 years, and has garnered both civic recognition and been awarded nationally each of the past five years for its participation in the NNO event.

To make the event happen we need a team of volunteers. Please consider joining us in the planning and coordination of this event. More details to follow by March.
