Newsletter Update from DPD Crime Investigations Unit-23Dec2015

As you probably know recently we have been able to solve several burglaries throughout the city because a vigilant neighbor called 911 to report some suspicious activities and suspicious people. This person was able to give the police communicator some very valuable information to the responding officers which helped facilitate these suspects being apprehended and subsequently arrested and charged. As it relates to District 3, our burglary investigations are ongoing and we are vetting information received during interviews with the suspects and we are pretty sure we can link them to a least two burglaries which occurred off of Garrett Road.

After extensive investigation District 3 Investigators were able to obtain warrants on Jody Keyshawn Davis for a home invasion recently on Alexan Drive. This home invasion was very violent as the victim was kidnapped and struck with a firearm during the commission of the crime. Davis was charged with Robbery with a Dangerous Weapon, Second Degree Kidnapping, Simple Assault and First Degree Burglary. Davis is still at large if you see him do not attempt to apprehend him call 911 immediately.

I just want to pause and say thank you for reading my newsletter it has proven to be a very valuable resource for the community and thank you for your awesome comments and words of encouragement. I want you all to keep calling 911 when you see those suspicious things that just don’t add up. As you can see those calls help us to abate crime and I am sure you would agree that we work better as a team.

Until next time, have a safe and happy holiday.
